Jaxson Robinson’s latest stay on the Cavaliers’ roster was a short one. His connection with the organization could continue in the G League.
Cleveland waived the 6-foot-7 wing after signing him to a training camp contract earlier in the week, according to Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot.
Robinson spent much of last season with the Cleveland Charge, averaging 10.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 33 regular-season games. He shot 37.3 percent from beyond the arc.
That familiarity made him a logical camp addition. Robinson went undrafted in 2025 before joining Cleveland on an Exhibit 10 deal and getting his first professional opportunity with the Charge.
As we reported when the Cavs added Robinson and Noam Yaacov, Cleveland has been working through its camp roster ahead of the regular season.
These October signings don’t always signal a competition for an NBA job. They can also be part of preparing the G League roster and keeping familiar players in the development program.
A return to the Charge would be a familiar route for Robinson, though his next stop hasn’t been confirmed.
