Lakers, Bucks, Grizzlies exploring trades ahead of roster deadline

NBA rosters must be set Monday, which means this weekend should bring plenty of cuts and perhaps a few smaller trades. So, you guessed it, the annual squeeze is underway.

And the Lakers, Bucks and Grizzlies are exploring deals to sort out their final roster spots, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line and Bleacher Report.

League sources continue to tell Hoops Wire that Los Angeles is looking to move Dalton Knecht. The Mavericks and Celtics may be among the interested teams.

Fischer also identified Charlotte as a situation worth watching, with the Hornets weighing the locker-room value of keeping Pat Connaughton.

These aren’t necessarily blockbuster discussions. They’re teams trying to settle their rosters before opening night, with the deadline providing a little extra motivation.
