Thunder
The Thunder need help on the perimeter, and Ochai Agbaji is getting the opportunity to provide some.
Oklahoma City intends to sign the free agent swingman, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The team has an open roster spot, so no corresponding move is necessary.
Agbaji averaged 10.4 points and shot 39.9% from three for Toronto in 2024-25. His production and shooting dropped considerably last season, and the Knicks waived him after training camp this fall.

With Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace facing lengthy absences, Oklahoma City has minutes to fill. Agbaji doesn’t have to replace either one by himself. Defending his position and making open shots would give the Thunder something useful.
International
Dwight Powell’s next stop is Istanbul. Fenerbahce announced a rest-of-season agreement with the longtime Mavericks big man, who was waived before the regular season.
Powell, 35, played 763 regular-season games for Dallas after arriving from Boston during his rookie year. He averaged 6.5 points and 4.3 rebounds with the Mavericks, spending his later seasons in a smaller role while remaining a valued locker-room presence.
Dallas chose to keep its fully guaranteed contracts rather than create room for Powell. He’ll now get his first EuroLeague experience with a club that won the championship in 2025.
Hornets
Naz Reid’s contract and starting role didn’t keep him on the floor Wednesday. Instead, coach Charles Lee sat him for the entire second half against Detroit.
“Unfortunately, Naz didn’t meet our standards in the first half,” Lee said, via Roderick Boone of The Boone Docs. “We look forward to him meeting our standards next game.”
Lee didn’t identify the issue. Boone reported that it involved something Reid said, and that the two addressed it after the game and are moving forward.
Reid arrived in the LaMelo Ball trade and is in the second season of a five-year, $125 million deal. Needless to say, Charlotte expects him to be an important part of what it’s building.
