Peacock is trying another way to watch the NBA. This one is for fans who would rather follow several games than commit to one.
NBC Sports announced that NBA Whiparound will debut Monday, Nov. 2, following the Thunder-Cavaliers game. Noah Eagle will host, with Doc Rivers and Brian Scalabrine providing analysis, according to Brendon Kleen of Awful Announcing.
The show will replace the second game of Peacock’s usual Monday doubleheader, moving between the night’s late games for live action and discussion.
Basically, somebody else handles the channel-flipping.
The format is familiar to anyone who watches NFL RedZone or NBC’s Olympic Gold Zone coverage. Making it work for basketball presents a different challenge, with several games potentially producing something worth showing at once.
NBA TV previously tried it with NBA Crunchtime. Peacock’s version adds a three-person studio crew to guide viewers through the action.

Rivers joined NBC after retiring from coaching and will work alongside Scalabrine as a pregame analyst Monday, too.
The appeal is easy enough to understand. A close finish in one arena, a big scoring night in another, and viewers can follow both without searching for the right broadcast.
How well it works will depend on the execution. Eagle and company get their first opportunity Monday, after Cleveland and Oklahoma City finish their business.
