Lakers Have Talked Bojan Bogdanovic Trade With Pistons

The Lakers remain active in trade talks and are seeking additional outside shooting, so it only makes sense that they remain hot on the trail of Pistons guard/forward Bojan Bogdanovic.Bojan Bogdanovic

He offers what they seem to be seeking, and the Lakers pursued Bogdanovic over the summer, when he was still with the Jazz.

They still are, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

What would the Lakers surrender? It appears they are willing to part ways with a couple of players that would be used to match Bogdanovic’s $19.3 million salary, as well as a protected pick in either 2027 or ’29, per Charania. Those are the two years the Lakers still have trade-eligible first-rounders.

But it seems the Lakers aren’t alone when it comes to a pursuit of Bogdanovic. Instead, there are actually about a dozen teams seeking his services, Charania wrote.

As for the Pistons, it’s pretty evident they won’t just give Bogdanovic away. He has proven to be a good fit alongside Detroit’s younger players, averaging a career-high 20.1 points on a career-high 51 percent shooting. That includes 44 percent on 3-pointers.

So there appears to be a “significant reluctance” on the Pistons’ part to even move Bogdanovic at all.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are very clearly active these days, and have spoken with the Knicks as well, as we relayed here. They reportedly have been floating guards Patrick Beverley and Kendrick Nunn, and one of those future firsts, as trade bait. They also reportedly continue to seek deals centered on point guard Russell Westbrook.
