The 76ers are waiving two-way point guard Saben Lee to make room for small forward Louis King, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
King will sign a two-way deal with Philadelphia, his agent told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Lee, 3, is 6-foot-2 and signed with the 76ers on Nov. 23. He has appeared in two games and averaged 3.0 points.
He was originally drafted by the Pistons with the No. 38 overall pick in 2020, GM Troy Weaver‘s first draft in Detroit. Lee appeared in 48 games as a rookie, and then 37 games last year, averaging 5.6 points each season.
He was then a part of the Pistons-Jazz deal that sent wing Bojan Bogdanovic to Detroit in late September. Lee was viewed as being included for salary-matching purposes and was waived shortly after the deal.
He stands a chance to remain with the Delaware Blue Coats, the Sixers’ affiliate in the G League, though that has yet to be reported.
