Lakers guard Russell Westbrook jawed with a Kings fan and then pointed the fan out to security during Wednesday’s loss in Los Angeles, as relayed by Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee.
Westbrook told the Kings fan to “watch your mouth,” and while it was unclear if the fan was removed by security, the seat where the fan was sitting was empty in the second half, per Anderson.
The fan could be heard yelling, “Hey Westbrick,” which began the incident, Anderson noted.
The Lakers (20-25) have lost four of five by a total of 10 points. Westbrook scored 19 points, second on the team to LeBron James‘ 32.
“We’re definitely a ballclub that has zero room for error. We have to continue to play how we played the last couple of games and trying to play mistake-free basketball,” James told reporters.
Those seats were empty in the second half. Pretty sure the fans were ejected and pretty sure “Hey Westbrick” was the remark that triggered the whole thing, although there could have been something else I didn’t hear. https://t.co/1UlTcJgdhb
