The Heat are among those interested in available in Knicks forward Cam Reddish ahead of the Feb. 9 trade deadline, per Marc Stein of the Stein Line, confirming earlier reports.
Reddish has fallen entirely out of the Knicks’ rotation and is said to also be drawing interest from the Lakers, Bucks, and Mavericks, among others, as we relayed here.
Reddish, 23, is 6-foot-8, and as Stein relayed, has been benched for 24 games, or since Dec. 3. He is averaging 8.4 points and shooting a career-high 45 percent from the field — but again, has appeared in just 20 of the Knicks’ 47 games.
Meanwhile, along with the pursuit of Reddish, the Heat continue to seek takers for small forward Duncan Robinson, though they are having no luck, Stein added.
Robinson, 28, is 6-7 and averaging career lows of 6.9 points and 37 percent shooting in 28 appearances. He is in the second year of a five-year, $90 million contract — a deal that is highly likely behind the Heat’s struggles to move him.
