The Knicks have reached new contract agreements with center Nerlens Noel and guard/forward Alec Burks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Noel’s deal is worth $30 million over three years, Wojnarowski reported, while Burks will receive a three-year contract for $32 million. Per Ian Begley of SNY.tv, Burks’ contract is fully guaranteed.
Noel averaged 5.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 64 games. Burks recorded averages of 12.7 points and 4.6 boards, shooting a career-best 41.5 percent on 3-pointers in 49 games.
“Burks had been viewed as a probable target for the Cavaliers, while Noel had been linked to the Raptors, Knicks, Hornets, and Kings,” noted Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “However, the Knicks entered the day with more cap flexibility than any other team, putting them in good position to get deals done with their priority free agents.”
