The 76ers are signing free agent center Dewayne Dedmon for the remainder of the season, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Dedmon was acquired by the Spurs in a trade with the Heat on Feb. 7, then subsequently waived. Philadelphia has been looking for depth in the frontcourt to help relieve All-Star center Joel Embiid, and Dedmon fits the bill.
Dedmon, 33, is 7-foot-0 and has appeared in 30 games, averaging 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds.
He has also spent time with the Hawks, Kings, Magic, Warriors and this will serve as his second stint with the 76ers. He had been in his third season with the Heat before the trade.
