Free agent center Cody Zeller intends to sign with the Heat, per Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.
Zeller, 30, has not played since last season, when he appeared in 27 games with the Trail Blazers, averaging career-lows of 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds, before suffering a right patellar avulsion fracture.
He then became an unrestricted free agent and has remained unsigned since — though he did attend training camp with the Jazz, as we relayed here. Utah waived him on Oct. 15.
The Heat recently brought in him for a workout, and clearly, liked what they saw enough to bring him on board.
It is – or technically, will be – done. As @wojespn just said, AP can confirm Kevin Love intends to sign with the Miami Heat once he clears waivers.
And, per source, Cody Zeller is now targeting signing with the Heat as well.

Zeller spent the first eight years of his career with the Hornets, who selected him with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, back when they were still known as the Bobcats.
As we relayed earlier, formed Cavs power forward Kevin Love also intends to sign with the Heat. Love also made the announcement on Twitter.
Yes sir my brother!!! Thank you for letting me bounce all of this off of you. Heat Nation let’s go!!! https://t.co/VAnH9mRU9D
