The Magic have signed shooting guard Jay Scrubb to a two-way contract, as agent Corey Marcum told Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report/TNT.
The Magic made the move official in a press release, via Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel.
Scrubb, 22, is 6-foot-5 and has been on our list of available free agents for most of the season. He has appeared in 22 games over two NBA seasons, both with the Clippers, averaging 3.8 points and 39 percent shooting.
Scrubb was originally drafted by the Nets with the No. 55 overall pick in 2020, then traded to the Clippers a day later. He was waived by the Clippers in July, then signed and waived by the Magic in October.
He instead has played for the Lakeland Magic of the G League and put together a fine season, averaging 22.2 points and 5.8 rebounds.
Price reported that Scrubb’s contract is for two years.
