Magic Waive Two-Way Guard Jay Scrubb

Scrubb, 22, is 6-foot-5 and appeared in two games with Orlando as a rookie this past season. He signed with Orlando on March 24. By waiving him, the Magic opened a two-way slot heading into next season.

Originally selected by the Nets with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Scrubb was sent to the Clippers as part of a three-way deal that also involved the Pistons.

He signed a two-way deal with the Clippers to start the 2020 season, then an Exhibit 10 training camp deal the following season.

In all, Scrubb appeared in 24 NBA games, compiling averages of 4.0 points and 1.4 rebounds. He also finished sixth in the G League in scoring this past season, spending the majority time with the Lakeland Magic, averaging 22.3 points.
