Akron product Pete Nance is among those who are already signed on to play for the Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Nance is the son of Cavs legend Larry Nance and younger brother of former Cavs and current Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr.
Pete Nance is 6-foot-11 and spent four years at Northwestern before transferring to North Carolina as a fifth-year senior last year. With the Tar Heels, he averaged 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 30 games, shooting 42 percent from the field and 82 percent from the free-throw line.
Along with Nance, the Cavs have signed Auburn point guard Wendell Green Jr. to play for their summer team, via Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report/TNT. Green is 5-11 and averaged 13.7 points and 4.1 assists this past season, shooting 30 percent on 3-pointers.
Those two will join second-round pick Emoni Bates and Craig Porter Jr., who signed a two-way deal, on the summer squad.
