Missouri guard D’Moi Hodge will be among those playing for the Lakers in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas after signing a two-way contract, per Dan Woike of the LA Times.
Hodge is 6-foot-4 and first started playing community college ball in Florida, before transferring to Cleveland State and helping the Vikings win the Horizon League title. He then transferred to Missouri with former CSU coach Dennis Gates.
This past season, Hodge averaged 14.7 points per game and buried 100 of 250 3-pointers (40 percent). He shot 48 percent from the field overall.
New rules allow teams to start carrying three two-way players, up from two in previous seasons. Hodge can play in up to 50 games with the Lakers, spending the rest of this time in the G League.
