The 76ers have interest in Pacers shooting guard Caris LeVert as part of a potential trade centered on guard/forward, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Pacers are among the teams still interested in a Simmons trade, with the Cavaliers, Timberwolves, Raptors, Spurs and Pistons among the others, Pompey reported.
At the moment, LeVert is out with a stress fracture in his back, but Indiana has indicated he could be ready for the start of the season.
He was acquired as part of the James Harden trade in November and had a career year. LeVert, 27, averaged 20.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.6 rebouds and 1.4 steals in 47 appearances with the Nets and the Pacers last season.
Simmons, 25, has continued his preseason holdout as the 76ers explore trades. He finished last season with averages of 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.6 steals in finishing runner-up to Jazz center Rudy Gobert for Defensive Player of the Year.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Sixers have also expressed interest in Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum and Pacers point guard Malcolm Brogdon.
“While Charania’s wording isn’t entirely clear, it sounds like Philadelphia requested all those draft assets in addition to McCollum, so it’s not surprising that the Blazers weren’t interested,” noted Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
Also, Sam Amick of The Athletic wrote that while there has been some buzz a Simmons deal involving McCollum and Blazers forward Robert Covington, along with draft picks, the sides don’t seem anywhere close.
