The Hawks have signed and waived shooting guard Brandon Randolph, the team announced in a pair of press releases. The contract was likely an Exhibit 10 deal for training camp, landing Randolph with the College Park Skyhawks of the G League.
Randolph, 26, is 6-foot-6 and went undrafted out of Arizona in 2019, spending each of the past three seasons in the G League.
Atlanta’s affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks, acquired Randolph’s rights in a trade with the Austin Spurs in August. He has also spent time with the Wisconsin Herd.
In 43 G League games last season, Randolph averaged 14.3 points and 3.8 rebounds, shooting 51 percent from the field and 35 percent on 3-pointers. After that, he played for the Mavericks in Summer League in July.
Given the nature of Randolph’s contract with the Hawks, he’s likely headed to the Skyhawks.
An Exhibit 10 deal would mean he can receive a $75,000 bonus should he remain with the Hawks’ affiliate for at least 60 days.
