The Raptors and Kings held trade talks centered on Toronto big man Pascal Siakam, but they apparently went nowhere. So the sides have decided not to move forward — at least for the time being.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Sacramento decided to call off the discussions.
It does not appear as if the sides intend to revisit things anytime soon — but this is the NBA, and things can change quicker than a Steph Curry 3-pointer.
The Sacramento Kings are deciding to pull out of the Pascal Siakam talks, sources say. Things can be fluid, but Kings-Raptors talks are now over. https://t.co/oQtwcbKtjF

The Raptors reportedly are looking to move Siakam ahead of the trade deadline next month, as we relayed here.
Most around the league expect them to do just that. Along with the Raptors, the Pacers, Warriors and Pistons are among those with a reported interest.
Siakam, 30, is averaging 22.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists through 34 games (entering Friday). He is shooting 52 percent from the field, his highest number since the 2018-19 season.
The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 8.
