The Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors were deep in talks on a trade featuring forward Pascal Siakam on Tuesday, and it is believed those talks are ongoing.
In fact, many are expecting it to eventually happen — and Siakam will end up in Indiana. Per Sam Amick and Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Pacers would send guard/forward Bruce Brown and three first-rounders (and salary filler) back to Toronto.
Some suspect Indiana shooting guard Buddy Hield could also be part of the trade.
According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, people familiar with the talks were surprised the deal was not completed by Tuesday evening. That could indicate some hesitancy on one of the sides.
Fischer wrote that the talks left “several parties familiar with the negotiations surprised that no agreement or finality came before games began that evening.”
