Veteran small forward Rudy Gay is available to make his debut for the Jazz on Thursday after signing a three-year contract during the offseason.
The Jazz face the Raptors on Thursday.
Gay, 35, is 6-foot-8 and averaged 11.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in 61 games with the Spurs last season. He underwent surgery on his right heel in June has been recovering since.

He has also spent time with the Kings, Raptors and Grizzlies, and should offer an immediate boost to a Jazz team that finished with the West’s best record last season and is off to a 9-5 start this year.
“We’ll have to wait to see exactly how Gay fits into Utah’s rotation, but the club envisions him as a player who can create his own shot on offense and match up with bigger opposing forwards on defense,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
