Lakers guard Russell Westbrook was among the many players to enter the NBA’s health and safety protocols on Thursday, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin and Adrian Wojnarowski, as was guard Avery Bradley, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Both players are said to be asymptomatic.
Westbrook and Bradley join guard/forward Talen Horton-Tucker, center Dwight Howard and shooting guard Malik Monk as Lakers who have entered protocols within the last three days.
However, Monk tested out of the protocol on Wednesday, McMenamin and Wojnarowski reported. Players can exit protocols with two negative tests in a 24-hour span.
All of this news came at the same time that the Lakers had signed veteran guard Isaiah Thomas to a 10-day contract (Full post.)
The Lakers (16-13) have won three straight and visit the Timberwolves on Friday. They are coming off a win over the Mavericks, as recapped by our Alejandro Avila.
