The Lakers are looking to trade center DeAndre Jordan and guard/forward Kent Bazemore in an effort to create more roster spots, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, via Hoops Rumors’ Arthur Hill.
Earlier this week, LA sent Rajon Rondo to the Cavaliers in a three-way deal with the Knicks, creating a roster spot and leading to signing of forward Stanley Johnson to a new 10-day contract.
Trading Jordan and/or Bazemore would allow the Lakers to pursue players on the buyout market, Windhorst added.
Both players started for the Lakers earlier this season, with Jordan starting 18 games and Bazemore starting 14. But both have been pulled from the rotation in recent weeks and rarely, if ever, appear.

This follows a report that the Lakers have been looking into trades centered on point guard Russell Westbrook. To this point, they have generated no interest on Westbrook.
Jordan, 33, is 7-foot-1 and is averaging 4.5 points and 5.7 rebounds in 27 appearances this season. He was traded from the Nets to the Pistons, and then quickly waived, before signing with the Lakers ahead of camp.
Bazemore, 32, is 6-4 and has compiled averages of 4.3 points and 2.0 boards in 22 games. He signed with the Lakers on Aug. 6.
