NBA Postpones Hawks-Rockets Game Due To Severe Weather

The NBA has announced the postponement of Saturday afternoon’s game between the Houston Rockets and the Atlanta Hawks due to severe weather and hazardous icy conditions in the Atlanta area.An NBA referee carries a game ball.

According to the league’s release, the decision was made in consultation with local officials, with the new game date to be determined at a later time.

This marks the third postponement in as many days for the league, with the other affected games related to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

As for the schedule, the Rockets are set to return home to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, while the Hawks’ next game won’t be until Tuesday when they play in Atlanta.

The Hawks confirmed via Twitter that original tickets and parking passes for the postponed game will remain valid for the rescheduled date, whenever that may be.

This is the latest in a week of postponements by the NBA, though all the others have taken place in Los Angeles as a result of the wildfires.
