The Nets are hoping to be whole by the playoffs and that includes Kyrie Irving playing in home games.
“I think around the Nets there’s still a confidence, maybe even more than an optimism that they’re going to get Kyrie Irving on a full-time basis at some point,” insider Adrian Wojnarowski said on ESPN, via RealGM.
Kevin Durant just returned from injury and Ben Simmons is expected to join the lineup sometime next week, giving Brooklyn its new Big Three following the James Harden trade with the 76ers.
If Irving isn’t allowed to play in home games, this could be a difficult home stretch for the Nets. Of their final 16 games, 10 are at home and one is against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, where Irving is also ineligible.
