ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski has received a contract extension, the network announced.
Along with Wojnarowski, ESPN has also signed NFL insider Adam Schefter to an extension.
According to OutKick’s Bobby Burack, each insider’s deal will pay him $10 million per year. “Woj and Schefter’s salaries will fall in between Stephen A. Smith’s at $12 million and Mike Greenberg’s at $6.5 million,” Burack wrote.

Wojnarowski, 53, arrived at ESPN in July 2017 after nearly a decade at Yahoo Sports. He has a larger social media following than any other NBA reporter, including the 5.2 million on Twitter.

He was set to enter sports media free agency in the final year of his contract, though industry insiders suspected he would re-sign with ESPN before he ever became available.
“There has been some talk recently about sports betting outlets potentially poaching top talent like Schefter and others,” wrote Steve DelVecchio of Larry Brown Sports. “ESPN has given Schefter more editorial freedom in recent years with things like his podcast, which is likely a factor in why he keeps re-signing with the network.”
