Devin Booker, Karl-Anthony Towns Now Eligible For Super-Max Extensions

Suns shooting guard Devin Booker and Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns each qualified for a super-max contract extension by virtue of landing on the All-NBA teams, per Keith Smith of Spotrac.Devin Booker Karl-Anthony Towns

Booker and Towns each have two years remaining on their current deals.

“The projected extensions would start with the 2024-25 seasons and carry a first-year salary of $47.1 million,” RealGM wrote. “In total, both Booker and Towns are eligible to add four years and nearly $211 million to their deals.”

Booker, 25, is 6-foot-5 and just completed his seventh season, averaging 26.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists, shooting 47 percent from the field. He has been an All-Star in each of the past three seasons.

Towns, 26, is 6-11 and averaged 24.6 points and 9.8 boards in his seventh season. He has also made three All-Star appearances: 2017-18, 2018-19 and this past year.

The two are former teammates at the University of Kentucky.
