Center Brook Lopez is joining forward Khris Middleton in returning to the Bucks.
For Lopez, the deal is two years and $48 million, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Lopez and Middleton were both unrestricted free agents and serve as team cornerstones alongside star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Middleton agreed to a deal to a three-year, $102 million deal to return, as we relayed here. So basically, the Bucks are keeping the ban together under new coach Adrian Griffin, after finishing with the best regular-season record last season.
Lopez, 35, averaged 15.9 points and 6.7 rebounds in 78 games last season, shooting 53 percent from the field and 34 percent on 3-pointers.
Bucks retain their two cornerstones — Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton — in free agency. Massive for Milwaukee in a market that included a similar lucrative offer for Lopez from Houston. https://t.co/r2BEWGkHRX
