Bucks To Sign Pete Nance To Two-Way Contract

The Milwaukee Bucks intend to sign forward/center Pete Nance to a two-way contract, per NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN.Pete Nance, NBA, 76ers, Sixers, G League

This will mark Nance’s second NBA stint this season, as he’s already played on two separate contracts with the Philadelphia 76ers.

He began the season in training camp with the Cavaliers before playing for the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League. As Charania noted, Nance played well for the Charge.

In his 14 games between the Charge and Delaware Bloats, Nance averaged 16.7 points on 50 percent shooting, along with 6.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.6 blocks.

All of this was sandwiched between a couple of runs with the Sixers. He first joined them on a two-way deal back on Dec. 3, before getting waived a little more than a month later. He returned to Philadelphia on another two-way deal before getting waived again on February 7.

Nance, 25, is 6-foot-11 and went undrafted out of North Carolina in 2023. He spent all of his rookie season in the Cavaliers organization, appearing in eight games with the parent club. Most of the rest of his time was spent in the G League.

A product of Revere High School outside of Akron, Ohio, Nance has appeared in seven NBA games this season, all with the Sixers, averaging 2.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game, shooting 33.3 percent from the floor.

Nance is the son of Cavs legend Larry Nance and brother of Atlanta Hawks forward/center Larry Nance Jr

Larry Sr. played for the Cavs from 1987-94, with Larry Jr.’s run in Cleveland taking place from 2018-21.

The Bucks are coming off a 121-112 win over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night and sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings, a half-game behind the Indiana Pacers.
