The possibility exists, it appears, that Caruso could return as Saturday for the Bulls’ home matchup vs. the Cavaliers.
“We’ve just got to continue to try to check the boxes,” Caruso said, via Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. “And make sure it’s functional and if I get hit it’s not going to be bad, if I fall, little things like that.”
Caruso suffered a broken right wrist as a result of the play. He was initially projected to miss 6-8 weeks. Lately, though, he has taken part in some contact practices, but may need more before returning.
“We’re close,” Caruso said.
The Bulls (40-26) sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference entering Friday’s games. They trail the 76ers by just a half-game, but have just a half-game lead over the Celtics.

Caruso said he actually did more contact in yesterday’s workout with player development guys than in today’s practice because team didn’t do much contact.
Neither Caruso nor Donovan ruled out Caruso playing Sat vs. Cavs. https://t.co/POzR6UG3LX
