It’s been another uneven start for the Chicago Bulls and trade rumors surrounding guard Zach LaVine are hotter than ever.
In fact, both the Bulls and LaVine are reportedly open to a deal. And many around the league expect one will be on the way as soon as more rival players become trade-eligible in the middle of next month.
But today, the Bulls seem to be frustrated with how LaVine “stormed off the court” after Saturday’s win over the Heat, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. LaVine did so as a member of the media relations tried to stop him for a postgame interview.
LaVine later said it was simply a “miscommunication with the PR team, adding that everyone is “all fine.”
That may or may not be the case, actually.
Per Cowley, the Bulls’ front office found out about the situation and was “less than thrilled” with LaVine. Also, coach Billy Donovan was “downright ticked,” Cowley added.
Now, regardless of what LaVine says, he had to know what was going on. Players understand they’re often needed for their team’s broadcast after a win. So something was going on there.
Mostly, you can always tell when a player and team need to move on from each other, and for LaVine and the Bulls, that time has come.
