The Bulls finally exhaled Sunday.

Chicago defeated the Bucks 120-97 to end an 11-game losing streak and secure its first win since January 31. For a young roster still searching for consistency, it was a needed reward.

Coach Billy Donovan said the effort never wavered, even as the losses mounted.

“I know it’s been frustrating for them,” Donovan said, via Brian Sandalow of the Chicago Sun-Times. “I’m in the locker room after a game and after a loss they feel like they’re working hard, they’re trying hard.

“To see them stick with it for a whole month like this and to go through the struggles of that, I just appreciate the way they’ve stayed together and just continued to try to come back in each day to work to get better.”

Donovan added that despite the winless stretch, he has seen growth from the group.

Sunday offered something tangible to show for it.
