The Bulls have waived center Marko Simonovic, according to the NBA transactions log.
Given that he appeared in just 16 games over two seasons, the move isn’t necessarily a big surprise. The No. 44 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Simonovic was a regular for the Windy City Bulls and did have a pretty steady run in the G League.
Last season, he appeared in 25 games for Windy City and averaged 15.9 points and 9.9 rebounds. But in Chicago, he was buried on the depth chart behind Nikola Vucevic and Andre Drummond, and both are returning.
On top of that, Simonovic’s $1.9 salary was not guaranteed, leading to the transaction.
