The question keeps getting asked: Would the Cavaliers trade Evan Mobley for Celtics star Jaylen Brown?
Well, league sources continue to tell Hoops Wire that Cleveland has little interest in moving Mobley. That’s been the case all offseason, and so far, nothing has changed.
That hasn’t stopped the speculation.

Kurt Helin of NBC Sports wrote that executives around the league continue to wonder if the Cavs would view Brown differently than they viewed Giannis Antetokounmpo, whom Cleveland also showed no interest in pursuing.
“Cleveland wouldn’t trade Evan Mobley for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but would they feel differently about Jaylen Brown?” Helin wrote. “It’s a question being asked around the league, but the Cavaliers don’t seem into the idea. At least not yet.”
Earlier this week, Chris Mannix of NBC Sports Boston reported that Mobley’s name had surfaced in conversations around the league as Boston weighs its options with Brown.
That’s understandable.
Brown is obviously one of the NBA’s premier two-way wings and is reportedly drawing strong interest from the likes of the Trail Blazers, Pistons and Hawks, among others.
But there’s a difference between another team asking and the Cavs saying yes.
Every front office listens. That’s just how the NBA works.
Actually making Mobley available is another matter entirely.
And as things stand today, there has been no indication that the Cavs are willing to move him.
