Cavs Announce Max Strus Three-Team Trade With Heat, Spurs

The Cavaliers, Heat and Spurs have officially announced the three-team trade that will send guard/forward Max Strus to Cleveland, and wing Cedi Osman and Lamar Stevens to San Antonio.Max Strus drives by Ricky Rubio

As part of the deal, the Heat will also swap second-round picks with the Spurs, with Miami receiving a 2027 selection and San Antonio landing a 2026 pick. The Cavs also sent cash to the Spurs.

Strus, 27, averaged 11.5 points on 41 percent shooting in 80 games last season, hitting 35 percent of his 3-point attempts. 

Osman, 28, had a slight dip in production last season, averaging 8.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 77 games, shooting 45 percent from the field and 37 percent on 3-pointers. His 20.1 minutes per game were the lowest since his rookie year of 2017-18.

Stevens, 25, appeared in 62 games, starting 25 and averaging 5.3 points and 3.3 rebounds, while shooting 45 percent from the field. He also served as a reliable perimeter defender and a guy who made plays that don’t show up on the stat sheet.
