The Cavaliers are listing small forward Caris LeVert as probable for their road game against the Mavericks on Monday. LeVert has missed the previous three games with a sprained ankle.
Meanwhile, center Jarrett Allen (back/hip), power forward Kevin Love (thumb) and forward Lamar Stevens (non-COVID illness) will remain out, per the NBA’s official injury report.
The Cavs are coming off a road win over the Pistons on Sunday and have won five of their last six. Allen missed that game, and Love and Stevens have each been sidelined for the previous two. Love has actually missed three of four.
“It wasn’t a terrible game, but we missed a lot of shots we usually make,” Cavs coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. “We did a good job of creating those shots, but they just didn’t go in. Credit the guys for finding a way to win us the win.”
The season has been a bit of a struggle for LeVert, at least in terms of shooting the ball. That said, the Cavs are pleased with how he’s become more of a facilitator.
In 16 games, he’s averaging 11.6 points, 4.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds, shooting a career-low 36 percent from the field.
