Star guard Donovan Mitchell will miss his third straight game with a hamstring strain when the Cavaliers visit the 76ers for an In-Season Tournament tilt on Tuesday.
Mitchell suffered the injury in last week’s win over the Trail Blazers.
The Cavs (7-6) have been among the NBA’s most injury-riddled teams in the early season, though they have still managed to win three straight and five of seven.
Along with Mitchell’s absence, Cleveland will be without guard/forward Isaac Okoro (knee) for the seventh straight game. Also, guard Ty Jerome (ankle) remains out after appearing in just one game, the season-opener.i
But wait, there’s more.
Guard Caris LeVert (knee) is listed as questionable after missing Sunday’s win over the Nuggets. LeVert was active for that game but did not play.
Mitchell and the others could conceivably miss the next two games, considering the Cavs return home Wednesday to face the Heat on the second night of a back-to-back.
