Cavs’ Kevin Love Cleared To Return To Team

Power forward Kevin Love has been cleared to return to the Cavaliers after a stint in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.Kevin Love

That said, it’s unclear when Love will bed ready to suit up for game action. Love entered the protocols at the beginning of the month.

His return is expected to offer a boost for a team that is also without forward Lauri Markkanen (protocols) and guard Collin Sexton (knee), but has managed to get off to an 8-5 start entering Saturday, anyway. (Related Cavs Dribbles.)

Love, 33, is averaging 9.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in the early season, coming off the bench in all seven appearances. He finished with 11 points and 12 boards in his last game, a Cavs road loss to the Suns on Oct. 30.

No official timetable has been given for the returns of Love, Markkanen or Sexton. But from the sounds of things, a return to play for at least Love is getting nearer.
