Cavs Waive Kyle Guy, Justin James, Mitch Ballock

The Cavaliers are waiving point guard Kyle Guy, guard/forward Justin James and shooting guard Mitch Ballock, as relayed by Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com and others.Kyle Guy

Guy, 24, is 6-foot-1 and appeared in 31 games with the Kings last season, averaging 2.8 points. He was a member of Virginia’s 2019 NCAA championship team before being drafted by the Kings in the second round (No. 55 overall) of the following draft.

James, 24, is 6-7 and spent each of his first two seasons with the Kings. He averaged 3.9 points on 47 percent shooting in 36 games last season.

Ballock, 23, is 6-foot-5 and spent all four seasons playing at Creighton. He averaged 9.9 points and 3.3 rebounds as a senior last year, then joined the 76ers for summer league.

Earlier in the day, the Cavs announced the signings of center Tacko Fall and shooting guard RJ Nembhard to two-way contracts.

The three players who were waived stand a good chance to land with the Cleveland Charge, the Cavs’ G League affiliate.
