Celtics Signing Brodric Thomas To Two-Way Deal

The Celtics have agreed to a two-way contract with guard Brodric Thomas, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.Brodric Thomas

Thomas, 24, is 6-5 and signed a two-way deal with the Cavs in September. He at first signed a two-way deal with the Cavs in February, appearing in 32 games for the Cavs and Rockets last season, averaging 3.9 points.

Along with that, he appeared in six games with the Canton Charge, the Cavs’ G League affiliate.

He started his rookie year with the Rockets after going undrafted out of Truman, then latched on with the Cavs on a two-way deal. In 32 games combined, he averaged 3.9 points and 1.7 rebounds.

He also spent some time with the then-Canton Charge and Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the G League. He was released by the Cavs last week.

“Brodric Thomas had a strong game against Boston late last season,” wrote Keith Smith of Sportac. “He scored five points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Cavs upset the Celtics in that game. The former Division II star is a good shooter, solid defender and good rebounder for his size and position.”
