Gerald Green Signs With Puerto Rican Club

Free agent guard/forward Gerald Green has agreed to a contract with Puerto Rican club Gigante de Carolina, the team announced.

Green, 36, is 6-foot-6 and spent 12 seasons in the NBA, most recently with the Rockets in 2018-19. He announced his retirement shortly after that, but has been attempting a comeback since.

Green appeared in 73 games with the Rockets in his final season, averaging 9.2 points and 2.5 rebounds. He has also spent time with the Celtics, Heat, Suns, Pacers, Nets, Mavericks and Timberwolves.

Most recently, he played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ G League affiliate. In 20 G League games this season, Green compiled averages of 18.5 points and 5.2 rebounds, shooting 37 percent on 3-pointers.
