The latest Giannis Antetokounmpo update may not provide many answers.
Then again, that might be the answer.
Associated Press NBA writer Tim Reynolds offered a brief update on social media late Monday, writing that Antetokounmpo still wants to land with the Heat if he leaves Milwaukee.

Beyond that? Apparently, nobody knows much.
“Giannis Antetokounmpo still wants to be in Miami, we’re told,” Reynolds wrote. “But even he doesn’t know how this thing is going to end up.”
That seems to line up with just about every report that’s surfaced over the past several weeks.
The Celtics, meanwhile, continue to hover over the entire conversation.
Multiple reports in recent days have suggested Boston has explored what a potential Antetokounmpo trade might look like, though the biggest obstacle remains obvious – any realistic package would almost certainly require the Celtics to part with Jaylen Brown.
That’s why the idea remains divisive.
On one hand, Antetokounmpo is a two-time MVP and one of the few players in the league who can instantly alter a championship race. On the other, Brown just finished one of the best seasons of his career and remains very much in his prime.
Nevertheless, the Celtics continue to be linked to Antetokounmpo alongside Miami, with league insiders repeatedly describing Boston as a legitimate threat should Milwaukee decide to move its franchise star.
Which brings us back to Reynolds’ update.
Antetokounmpo may still prefer Miami. But between the Heat, Celtics and several other interested teams, the final outcome remains anyone’s guess.
In other words, welcome to the NBA offseason.
