Free agent forward Nassir Little will work out for the Heat, Celtics and Warriors, per Keith Smith of Spotrac. As we relayed here via The Athletic, Little will also take part in a veteran audition with the Kings.
While not much of an outside shooter, Little plays hard, defends pretty well and has proven to be a solid bench player, although not one who has yet received lots of minutes.
Little, 24, is 6-foot-5 and was recently waived by the Suns. He appeared in 45 games with Phoenix last season, averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds, after spending the first four years of his career with the Trail Blazers.
Each the Warriors and Kings has 12 players on fully guaranteed contracts, giving them a little more flexibility when it comes to adding talent. Meanwhile, the Heat and Celtics have 14 players with guaranteed deals apiece and would have to consider luxury tax penalties should they sign someone new.
Little was selected with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and is a career 46% shooter. But he’s made just 33% of his 3-pointers in 237 games overall. That includes a 30% mark with the Blazers last season.
For what it’s worth, Miami has signed just one outside free agent to a standard contract this offseason — shooting guard Alec Burks. The Heat lost forward Caleb Martin to the 76ers in free agency.
