Adebayo is expected to miss about six teams, though the Heat can’t really put a timeline on his return until after the surgery this weekend, noted Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

According to injury analyst Jeff Stotts of In Street Clothes, no player who has undergone UCL surgery has come back sooner than five weeks.

Adebayo, 24, is averaging 18.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 18 games, and serves as the strong interior presence who fronts Miami’s physical defense.

He suffered the injury in the Heat’s game against the Nuggets on Monday.

Miami (13-8) enters Wednesday’s home game vs. the Cavaliers in third place in the Eastern Conference.
