The Hornets have finalized their contract agreement with small forward Kelly Oubre Jr., according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
The deal is for two years and $25 million, Haynes added. It won’t include any options, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Oubre, 25, is 6-foot-7 and appeared in 53 games with the Warriors last season, averaging 15.4 points and 6.0 rebounds. He has also spent time with the Wizards and Suns.
“While Oubre possesses good size and athleticism for a three-and-D wing, his three-point shot has been inconsistent over the course of his career (32.6%),” noted Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
Oubre will now be part of a Charlotte forward contingent that also includes Gordon Hayward, Miles Bridges and potentially Cody Martin and Jalen McDaniels, though the latter two are on nonguaranteed deals.
The Hornets waived small forward Caleb Martin on Saturday.
