Report: Hornets’ Miles Bridges granted restraining order against ex-girlfriend

Hornets forward Miles Bridges has been granted a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, according to a report from TMZ.

A judge instructed Mychelle Johnson not to contact or harass Bridges or his current girlfriend and to refrain from alleged cyberstalking, per the report.

The order follows claims made by Bridges in court filings. In those documents, he alleged that Johnson engaged in a series of actions, including traveling to the team’s arena while intoxicated and attempting to tamper with his vehicle.

Bridges also alleged that Johnson sent messages using a fake phone number and contacted his attorney under false pretenses. The filings further claim she made statements to their children about his personal life and threatened to release private images.

Those claims have not been independently verified.

Johnson has not publicly responded to the allegations, according to the report.

Bridges, 28, is in his eighth NBA season and averaged 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists this year for Charlotte.

He has four children with Johnson and has been involved in multiple legal matters related to their relationship in recent years. In 2022, Bridges pleaded no contest to a felony domestic violence charge and was sentenced to three years of probation. Two additional felony counts were dismissed.

In 2023, he faced allegations of violating a protection order related to a separate incident.
