Injury To Bulls’ Lonzo Ball Not Responding Well In Rehab

Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball may still be a ways away from a return with only about a month left in the regular season.Lonzo Ball

Ball underwent surgery on his left meniscus (knee) and hasn’t played since the middle of January. Bulls coach Billy Donovan told reporters that Ball’s injury has not responded well in terms of getting back on the court.

“Donovan added that there have been no setbacks, but Ball hasn’t been able to ramp up his activity,” RealGM wrote.

Ball has already passed the initial timeline of missing six-to-eight weeks and it’s possible he may not be back for the postseason.

Ball, 24, was averaging 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists prior to the injury, appearing in 35 games in his first season with Chicago.

The Bulls acquired Ball before the season in a sing-and-trade deal with the Pelicans. They are the third team for the former No. 2 overall draft pick.
