The Thunder won Sunday, but the result took a back seat to a frightening injury involving Jalen Williams.
Williams suffered a serious left leg injury late in Oklahoma City’s victory over the Clippers. He was attempting a layup when he was fouled from behind and landed awkwardly, with his weight coming down on his left leg.
Trainers immediately attended to Williams and covered his leg with towels before he was taken off the court on a stretcher.
No diagnosis was included in the initial report. The Thunder now await word on Williams’ condition after a night that ended with considerably more concern than celebration.
