The Bulls are re-signing guard Javonte Green to a two-year contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Green, 28, is 6-foot-4 and averaged 3.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 41 games overall last season. A physical and hustling player, he sometimes spends time at small forward.
He was acquired in a March trade with the Celtics, appearing in 16 games with the Bulls.
Chicago head of basketball operations Arturas Karnasovas and general manager Marc Eversley have made some notable changes to the roster, landing guards Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan in a pair of sign-and-trades, and picking up guard Alex Caruso.
Now, they just need to figure out what to do about forward Lauri Markkanen, a restricted free agent who said he is looking for a “fresh start” elsewhere.
Either way, Green will continue to be a part of what is clearly an improving situation in Chicago.
