Jazz To Sign Simone Fontecchio To Two-Year Deal

Agent Sam Goldfeder told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski the deal is for $6.25 million.

Fontecchio, 26, spent last Euroleague season with Spanish club Baskonia, averaging 11.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 22 games.

His three-year deal with Baskonia includes and NBA exit clause that expires in July, per EuroHoops. He had also been receiving interest from the Lakers.

“Fontecchio has also been rumored to be of interest to the Lakers and that he could be receiving an offer by the club,” EuroHoops wrote.

The Jazz are undergoing some serious changes this offseason, already trading Rudy Gobert and apparently looking to do the same with Donovan Mitchell. The offseason started with the hiring of Will Hardy as coach.
