The Wizards agreed to a deal that lands Khris Middleton back in Washington, with only the first year of his contract guaranteed.
According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, Middleton signed a three-year deal for $17.61 million total. The first year of $5.59 million is fully guaranteed, Scotto added. The second season is for $5.87 million, with $909,000 guaranteed. The deal is non-guaranteed for the third year.

Middleton is returning to Washington as part of the massive six-team trade that also includes the Mavericks, Grizzlies, Bucks, Clippers and Pistons. The deal also sends veteran guard D’Angelo Russell from the Wizards to Memphis.
The reunion shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Middleton spent part of last season in Washington before finishing the year in Dallas, averaging 10.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists overall.
Washington has quietly reshaped its roster over the past several months. Since the trade deadline, the Wizards have added Trae Young, Anthony Davis, No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa, Deandre Ayton and now Middleton.
